More snow?

Snowfall of 2/24/10

This is what it looked like outside of the Martinsville Media studios on Wednesday, February 24, 2010.  The National Weather Service is predicting a 70% chance of snow Tuesday and Tuesday night with some accumulation as a low pressure tracks just offshore through early Wednesday.

Unemployed could lose extended benefits

With the highest unemployment in the state, Martinsville stands to suffer the most from a proposal now circulating Washington.
Wednesday last week Dolores A. Esser, commissioner of the Virginia Employment Commission, sent a letter to members of the Virginia General Assembly telling them that the Federal Emergency Unemployment Compensation may expire.
